Ethics
1. Maintaining confidential
We, as Counselors have an ethical responsibility to protect the privacy of our clients. Before the session begins, we will provide the client with information that explains how the client’s private information will be handled.
2. Informed Consent
We respect counseling as always voluntary. So, as a client, you have the freedom to choose whether to enter into or remain in a counselling session/ relationship and ask for adequate information about the counseling process and also about the counselor. Counselling can be done only if the client is willing for the session. If the client decides to end the session well before the time, we will accept their decision and not pressurise them to continue the session. We have provided all the information about our professional qualifications and experiences on our website itself. Please note that Counselling may have both potential benefits and risks.
3. Not exceeding competence
We have an ethical responsibility to practice within our area of competency. We must be truthful about our qualifications and competence. If we are not competent in a specific area, we will refer the client to a counselor who is trained in that area.
4. Avoiding dual relationships
The relationship between us as counselors and you as a client is strictly professional and there is no second relationship like a friend, relative.
5. Non-discrimination
We do not engage in discrimination based on age, gender, culture, disability, ethnicity, caste, religion, and sexual orientation. We do not neglect and abandon clients in counseling. We help and guide clients and make appropriate arrangements for the continuation of counseling.
